Interesting on the Acer...I gotta older laptop with 1GB of RAM sitting in it and was debating if I should see how well it would do with Vista (currently running Ubuntu). Think I'll check it out, although will probably keep the dual boot :D

Heard great things myself about Win7...I don't think we'll wait so long to get it into test and production this time.

I totally agree with you. For all the bad mouthing Vista has received, very little is deserved. It was released before the hardware could catch up.
I have been using Rhino, CS4, Cinema 4D etc on vista for over a year now. Bloody stable I tell you . I actually installed everything in Win XP compatibility mode, so no need to buy the latest versions. I run both CS2 and CS4 simultaneously in XP compatible and pure vista mode. No issues whatsoever.

Bonus: I loaded vista on an Acer Aspire One netbook and run CS2, Rhino on it. No mods/ upgrades. Standard 1gig RAM, Atom processor, 1230 gig hard drive. Its a tad slow, but much faster than desktops even a couple of years old.

I think MS is doing a good thing rebranding vista as Win7. Gets rid of the bad publicity.

If you check with the internet there are quite a few open source programs capable of updating the iPod WITHOUT any Apple software. From what I've seen they'll even sync information with Outlook, something that iTunes will not do.

I can attest that the new process gives WAY better pictures than the automated ever could.

Oh and I still really love that picture of the final real world setup, it looks great.
